Establishment of Regional Semen Production Laboratory and Semen Bank for sheep and goat

This is a Central Government scheme run by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying to improve the quality of sheep and goat breeds across India. The scheme helps establish specialized laboratories at regional level that produce and store frozen semen for goats and liquid semen for sheep. These facilities support farmers and breeders in improving their livestock through modern reproductive technology and genetic upgradation.
