The Funeral Assistance Scheme (PULWS) is run by the Puducherry Unorganised Labourers' Welfare Society to help families of deceased unorganised workers. The scheme provides financial support to the nominee of the deceased worker to cover funeral and cremation expenses. The assistance amount is directly transferred to the beneficiary's bank account through Digital Benefit Transfer (DBT).
