Scholarship To 2 Years Pre-Service Student Teachers Undergoing D.El.Ed Programme At DIETs And CTTC Sohra
This scholarship scheme was launched by the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya in 2012 to support talented student teachers. It provides financial assistance to pre-service teachers studying the D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) programme at DIETs (District Institutes of Education and Training) and CTTC Sohra in Meghalaya. The scheme aims to attract the state's best talent into the teaching profession.
What You Get
- Monthly scholarship of ₹5,000 for 2 years
- Support provided for 10 months per year
- Total financial assistance of ₹1,00,000 over the 2-year programme duration
Who Can Apply
- Age: 18–32 years
- Residence: Meghalaya residents only
- Must be enrolled in D.El.Ed programme at DIETs or CTTC Sohra
- Must be a resident of Meghalaya
- Must be a pre-service student teacher undergoing 2-year teacher training
