The Vayoshreshtha Samman: Courage & Bravery award recognizes and honors senior citizens who have shown extraordinary courage and bravery in the face of serious danger. This national award is given by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and is presented by the President of India every year on October 1st at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The scheme celebrates the heroic acts and selfless service of elderly citizens across India.
