The Karkhandar Scheme is a skill development program run by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Jammu and Kashmir, through the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom. It provides advanced training and skill upgradation to talented trainees and former trainees from government training centers in the craft and handloom sector. The scheme aims to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial capabilities of artisans and craft workers in Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Should have merit-based qualification for skill upgradation
  • Must be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Priority may be given to candidates seeking self-employment in craft sector
