Incentive For The Devadasi Children’s Marriage to Schedule Tribe
This Karnataka government scheme provides financial incentives to encourage marriage among children of Devadasi women who belong to Schedule Tribe (ST) communities. The scheme aims to support and uplift this historically marginalized community by offering substantial financial assistance at the time of marriage. Couples who marry on or after April 1, 2019 are eligible to receive the incentive.
What You Get
- ₹8 Lakh total financial incentive for eligible married couples
- ₹3 Lakh given to the groom
- ₹5 Lakh given to the bride
- One-time payment upon marriage registration
Who Can Apply
- Age: 18–100 years
- Residence: Karnataka residents only
- At least one partner must be a child of a Devadasi woman
- At least one partner must belong to Schedule Tribe (ST) category
- Marriage must have been solemnized on or after April 1, 2019
- Both partners must be willing to register their marriage
- Must be a resident of Karnataka state
