Grant of Financial Assistance for Performance of Marriage of Poor Brides Living Below Poverty Line

This scheme provides financial assistance to help poor brides cover their marriage expenses. Run by the Department of Women and Child Development in Puducherry, it supports women living below the poverty line. The assistance is given for the first marriage only. The goal is to reduce the financial burden on poor families during marriage.
