Institutions of Eminence scheme

The Institutions of Eminence scheme is run by the Ministry of Education to help Indian colleges and universities become world-class institutions for teaching and research. Under this scheme, selected higher educational institutions receive special support and freedom to improve their quality and compete globally. The scheme aims to create institutions that are recognized for excellence in both education and research within India and worldwide.
