Rural Sports and Health Promotion Scheme

The Rural Sports and Health Promotion Scheme is run by the Uttarakhand government to improve fitness and health among rural youth. The scheme provides financial assistance to Mangal Dals (village health committees) to set up and operate open gyms in each Gram Panchayat. This helps rural communities access free or low-cost fitness facilities and promotes a healthier lifestyle in villages.
